World AIDS Day

Today is World AIDS Day. We’ve come a long way, but we still have a long way to go.

I’m a big proponent of Project Hopeful. I love what they’re doing to help reduce stigma surrounding HIV and AIDS and promote adoption of children who are HIV+. There is still a lot of misinformation surrounding these diseases. So, here’s a little truth for you:

You don’t need to adopt to make a difference. This fall, World Vision is encouraging child sponsorship for children whose communities are disproportionately impacted by HIV/AIDS. You can provide much needed access to food, water, education, and health care in these areas. If you’re interested, contact me at showscarla (AT) gmail [DOT] {com} and get started today!
